These Lace & Applique scissors have one blade with a cushion end for gentle work with delicate fabrics. The advantage of specialised applique scissors is that the rounded ball end of the lower blade helps to stop one cutting through layers that need to be preserved (especially important with reverse / multi-layered applique techniques) or cutting too close to the stitching. Applique scissors are also useful for trimming / grading seam allowances.

The smaller size is for the most delicate of applications.
